Marlborough Marlborough
you're going to love Marlborough...
World-class wines and gourmet menus, stunning scenery and untouched natural landscapes, adventurous outings or tranquil escapes, whatever you’re looking for in a New Zealand conference location, you’ll find it here in Marlborough.

Start with a region of sparkling waterways, unspoiled native forests and majestic mountains. Add high sunshine hours, world-renowned wineries and gourmet dining – it’s no wonder Marlborough evokes comparison with paradise. When the central location and ease of access to the region is considered, it is also a very special place to attend a Marlborough conference or hold an event.

Marlborough Convention Centre
The region has seen significant development in Marlborough conference facilities over the past several years, including New Zealand’s newest purpose-built convention facility, the Marlborough Convention Centre. Located in the heart of Blenheim town, overlooking the Taylor River, its three meeting rooms have a capacity for 700 delegates seated theatre style. The well appointed, state-of-the art equipment and services, break-out rooms and dedicated Conference Coordinator makes this a popular venue for both large and small  Marlborough conferences. In addition to the Convention Centre, there are numerous options of smaller venues “amongst the vines” in and around Blenheim or alternatively in the seaside town of Picton, or out on the sparkling waters of the Marlborough Sounds.

Organise a meeting in Marlborough and there is a wide range of accommodation available, from luxury hotels, boutique lodges and resorts to backpacker hostels and motels. Located well away from city distractions and bustle, the region is an ideal location for Marlborough conferences and incentive travel getaways.

Wineries, wildlife and native bushwalks
In recent years, Marlborough’s extraordinary Sauvignon Blanc and other wines have made it a mecca for discerning travellers from around the world. Your Marlborough conference delegates can taste and tour at more than 50 cellar doors and enjoy outstanding cuisine at local vineyards, cafes and restaurants. But there is so much more! Whether you love wine, wildlife, sea kayaking, cruising the 1500 kms of the incomparable Marlborough Sounds, native bush walks or formal garden rambles under clear, sunny skies, Marlborough is the perfect place to unwind as well as taking care of business.

Situated at the top of the South Island, on the northeast coastline, Marlborough is close to the geographical centre of New Zealand and is easily accessible by land, sea and air. Marlborough is serviced by two airports and three airlines, offering multiple daily links to Auckland, WellingtonChristchurch and the lower North Island. Two inter-island ferry services provide up to 15 sailings a day between Picton and Wellington and there are connections to the Tranz Scenic rail service to Christchurch. The region is also well linked by several coach services to South Island cities and centres.
