Where to find us

Auckland, in the upper North Island, is New Zealand’s largest city and home to around a third of the population. It’s easy to get to Auckland – it’s the nation’s best-connected city, welcoming more than 70% of all international arrivals into the country. Eighteen international airlines fly direct to Auckland from 32 destinations around the world.

Scenic Highlights

Your delegates will discover the ultimate natural playground in Auckland. Tranquil harbours border the city and the emerald islands of the Hauraki Gulf are close at hand. In the west, the lush native rainforest of the Waitakere Ranges plunges down to meet the sea on windswept black-sand beaches. The east is a tapestry of sheltered golden-sand beaches, vineyards and pastures. To the north, travel through the rolling hills of wine country and along stunning coastlines or explore the south’s picturesque regional parks and historical Māori cultural sites. The region is also dotted with 48 volcanic cones, offering panoramic views and a rich history.

Auckland’s diverse landscapes not only make for breathtaking scenery, they offer countless adventures for your group, from the mild to the wild.

Conference Venues & Facilities

As New Zealand’s largest city, Auckland has more conference and convention options than any other city in the country.
It’s easy to get the perfect venue for your group and event, with everything from premium custom-built convention facilities hosting 2300 people to intimate venues in heritage buildings. Modern or classic, opulent or minimalist, waterfront locale or forest retreat – whatever kind of venue you’re looking for, you’ll find it in Auckland.

Auckland offers an impressive variety of accommodation to suit any conference budget. The CBD alone has more than 6000 rooms ranging in style from 2-star to 5-star standards, with shopping, dining, entertainment and attractions all on your doorstep. Many hotels and lodges also have event facilities on site.

Unforgettable Experiences

Auckland is more than just a great city – it’s a whole region full of things to see and do. And it’s all so close. In the city centre, stylish shopping precincts, waterfront restaurants, exciting cultural experiences, art galleries and attractions are all within easy walking distance. In less than an hour from the city centre you could be sipping on award-winning vintages in wine country, walking through the pristine rainforest of the Waitakere Ranges or ziplining over the treetops.  It’s no wonder Lonely Planet named Auckland one of the world’s Top 10 Cities for 2014 in its Best in Travel guide.

Get out on the sparkling waters of the Waitemata Harbour for kayaking, jet boating, fishing or sailing – you can even help sail an America’s Cup racing yacht. Thrill seekers can leap off the Auckland Harbour Bridge in New Zealand’s only ocean-touch bungy jump, canyon down waterfalls deep in the forest, quad bike through the trees or ‘SkyJump’ off the Sky Tower.

Explore the islands of the Hauraki Gulf, many of them just a short ferry ride away. Enjoy group tastings and spectacular scenery at some of the 30 boutique wineries on Waiheke Island, the ‘island of wine’. Soak up the 360-degree views from the summit of Rangitoto Island, the youngest of the region’s 48 volcanic cones. For a truly unforgettable experience, head out into the gulf on a whale and dolphin safari.
