Wanaka Unforgettable experiences

Unforgettable Experiences

With Mt Aspiring National Park in Wanaka's backyard there's no shortage of opportunities to experience the majesty of its glaciers, rainforest, waterfalls and mountains. Days can begin with a helicopter flight for breakfast on a glacier, then rendezvous with a jet-boat for an exhilarating ride into the wild, swap the jet-boat for a 4WD and finish the day watching the sunset over the lake from the top of mountain with a glass of local pinot noir.

For adrenaline junkies there’s the chance to skydive from 15,000ft over the Southern Alps; accelerate faster than a Formula 1 car in the world’s only 4-seater jet-sprint boat; or take the wheel of a sports car at the Southern Hemisphere’s only winter ice driving experience! If you prefer to slow down and indulge in exclusive luxury then a night at Minaret Station or lunch at the Whare Kea mountain chalet might be more your cup of tea – both only accessible by helicopter.
