Hotel Grand Chancellor Welcomes & Farewells the Director of Sales & Marketing for New Zealand

Sarah Croskery has been appointed Director of Sales and Marketing (DOSM) for the James Cook Hotel Grand Chancellor and Hotel Grand Chancellor Auckland City, replacing current DOSM Judy Chen, who finishes at the end of the month. After 12 years with the Hotel Grand Chancellor Group and having recently won Senior Hotel Executive of the Year at the 2017 New Zealand Hotel Awards, Judy moves to the Chief Executive position at the Tourism Export Council of New Zealand.

As passionate hospitality and tourism professionals, Sarah and Judy share many parallels, having both completed their Tourism Management qualifications at Victoria University and developing strong careers at Hotel Grand Chancellor. Sarah commenced at the James Cook Hotel Grand Chancellor ten years ago, before gaining international experience and returning as Human Resource Manager in 2011. For the past two years Sarah has overseen all operational departments as Executive Assistant Manager, whilst building relationships with key suppliers in the industry.

“Sarah’s exceptional knowledge of operations and the James Cook Hotel Grand Chancellor has put her in the prime position for transitioning into the DOSM role”, states General Manager, Steve Martin. Sarah will oversee the New Zealand Sales and Marketing team of six and looks forward to commencing her new role on Monday 2nd of October.
