Ali has been involved in tourism and hospitality her whole working life. For the past 22 years, she has held the position of Director of Conference and Incentives, New Zealand and Australia, selling on and offshore business for Millennium Hotels and Resorts. Prior to working in sales, Ali was at the coalface and held management positions in hotel operations. Ali is well known and respected throughout the industry both nationally and internationally.
She has strong business relationships with the New Zealand Tourism Board, regional bureaus, associations, PCOs, and event and meeting management companies.
Ali’s industry experience and sales skills have been a huge asset during the 17 years she served as a Platinum Member on the CINZ Board and especially in the last year dealing with a global pandemic and the impact on the conferencing and events industry. Successfully navigating and keeping her sales team motivated through these challenging times, Ali is looking forward to rebuilding Business Tourism and continuing to be actively involved in the strategic development of the industry.
